Pet Air Travel...

Domestic and international pet air travel can be a complicated and frustrating process. Documentation and rules vary from country to country. Pets need food, water and someone to take care of them between flights.  The planning and logistics for your pet's travels can be extensive. That is where PetTransporter Worldwide comes in.

For more than twenty years, PetTransporter Worldwide has been assisting families and coordinating trips throughout the world.

We'll make sure your pets are medically ready for their travels by overseeing vaccine, health certificate and quarantine requirements. Because your pet's safety is our highest priority, we don't allow pets to be tranquilized prior to flying. According to national and international air transport organizations, the American Humane Association and the American Veterinary Association, it's not advisable to tranquilize pets when flying at increased altitudes. Sedation can cause respiratory and/or cardio vascular problems. Federal regulation requires that puppies and kittens must be 8 weeks old and weaned at least 5 days before traveling by air. PetTransporter Worldwide will only ship pets who are at least 6 months old.

Shipping a pet in the summer or winter months can be challenging. Airlines can place restrictions called heat or cold embargos that prohibit pets from traveling by air, due to the temperature. The airlines implement these policies during the hot and cold weather months to prevent illness or death. These restrictions are used for the safety of your pet. All professional pet transporters and airlines abide by these regulations.

Your pet will be transported in his kennel (crate) during both ground and air transport. PetTransporter Worldwide recommends letting your pet get used to his new crate prior to traveling to increase his or her comfort level. During ground transport, pets remain in their crates (carriers) for safety reasons. PetTransporter Worldwide tracks the flight status of each traveling pet. When possible, we try to book your pets on nonstop flights.

Our goal is to move your pet in a safe, humane, and professional manner. USDA certified, we guarantee the best possible experience for you and your pets.
